Mediuutiset is the only independent newspaper for Finnish health care professionals. It was started in 1998 and has 45 000 readers with a circulation of 27 000. The primary target groups of Mediuutiset are doctors, pharmacists and pharmaceutical industry.
Mediuutiset is owned 50/50 by MTI and Talentum, a Finnish media company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.

Medi Uutiset was also started in 1998 and became a weekly newspaper in 2003 The MTI Group and the Finnish publishing house Talentum equally own the company Medi Uutiset. The newspaper is distributed for free to Finnish doctors and has a total circulation of 27 000 copies.
